Served on the UN Secretary-General's High Level Panel on the Post-2015 Development Agenda, which contributed to the development of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Co-chaired a panel on the international response to the global refugee crisis at the 2016 UN Summit on Refugees and Migrants. Founder of the Queen Rania Foundation for Education and Development. Chair of the Board of Trustees, Jordan River Foundation. Member of the Board of Directors, United Nations Foundation. Member of the Board of Advisors, International Rescue Committee. Member of the Board of Trustees, World Economic Forum. Council Member, Earthshot Prize. Recipient of numerous regional and international awards, including the Council of Europe North-South Prize, Atlantic Council Global Citizen Award, Walther Rathenau Award, World Childhood Foundation’s World Childhood Award, granted by Her Majesty Queen Silvia of Sweden, Foreign Press Association Humanitarian Award, Vital Voices Global Trailblazer Award, and the Zayed Award for Human Fraternity and the Path to Peace Award, both of which Her Majesty received jointly with His Majesty King Abdullah II.
